G#m – Sol# Minor
In music theory, G# minor chord is built on G#-B-D# formation: root-minor third-major third. Basic minor chord has a formation G#-D#-G#-B-D#-G# from basses to trebles in the guitar.
This chord is derived from a minor triad. In music theory triads are built by three different notes: root-minor third-major third. But in the guitar, generally basic minor chords are expanded by same kind notes that repeat themselves in different octaves. Minor triads may have a function as a supertonic(subdominant parallel), mediant(dominant parallel) or submediant(tonic parallel) besides tonic degree.
