In music theory, A# minor seventh chord is built on A#-C#-E#-G formation: root-minor third-major third-minor third. Basic minor seventh chord has a formation A#-E#-G-C#-E# from basses to trebles in the guitar.

This chord is derived from a seventh chord. In Music theory, minor seventh chords are built by four different notes. But in the guitar, generally seventh chords are expanded by same kind notes that repeat themselves in different octaves. Minor seventh chords built by a harmonic interval order: root-minor third-major third-minor third(C-Eb-G-Bb). These chord have a progression function beside dominant and subdominant degrees.
